*** Assume there will be worms in the head of the corn. Feel around before peeling on a dent (where worms eat). Cut the tip, then peel.
Corn, also known as maize, is a versatile and popular cereal grain. It has sweet and juicy kernels that are commonly eaten either fresh from the cob or cooked in various forms.
Corn can be boiled, grilled, roasted, or steamed and is often used as a side dish, added to salads, or turned into ingredients like cornmeal and cornstarch for baking and cooking.
Its slightly sweet flavor and satisfying crunch make it a staple in many cuisines around the world.
Note: organic corn often has worms on it. If you discover a worm in your corn, it’s best to discard the affected part of the corn and ensure that the rest of the corn is free from any signs of infestation. CUT the tip off by feeling where the worm eat thru. Cut it all with husk and discard. Store until use.
